Traffic Transformation

Customer upstream applications can be integrated to the IoTGtw cloud service using the messaging APIs, MQTT or TCP / UDP sockets in order to receive uplink messages and initiate downlink messages to the IoT devices.

For example the IoTGtw cloud service will perform the necessary protocol transformations to enable messages received from the IoT devices (over CoAP) to be transmitted to the customer upstream application regardless of the upstream protocol in use and vice versa. In short, messages received from the IoT device via any of the supported protocol can be transformed and pushed to the upstream application using the (API, MQTT, UDP Socket or TCP Socket) depending on the Messaging Endpoint Profile configuration for the upstream application. The reverse applies for messages submitted from the customer application for onward transmission to the IoT device.

Refer to the Service Access Point Section for an overview of the supported Device Access protocols.
